Electrical System Corrosion Protection Coating
Corrosion on the exterior of wind turbine reflects the potential vulnerability of the interior and the enclosed electrical and electronic devices. The interior of the turbine nacelle housing is not hermetically sealed and are susceptible to the salt ions dissolved in the moisture and other corrosive elements. This is particularly important to the electronic devices and electrical contacts.
Dissolved Salt Laden Moisture BlockingAIT FLUOROSEAL® PVDF IPC 830S certified conformal coating for protection of electrical and electronic circuits have been proven to have more than 100 times barrier at 1/10 of the thickness in shielding the moisture and moisture-water laden with dissolved salt ions from penetrating through to get in contact with copper and surface. It is also more than 1,000 times more barrier in blocking of corrosive acidic gases from penetrating through to cause corrosion.
- Passivation and Insulation for Spark Prevention
In a moisture laden atmosphere, whenever high voltage exposed contact without proper insulation or passivation may generate corona like sparks that may present fire hazard when there is any leakage of flammable transmission fluids or lubricant liquids. All exposed electrical contacts from the transmission and lightning arresting system protected may minimize sparks generation with moisture barrier circuit board and electrical contacts protection FLUOROSEAL® PVDF conformal coating.
